SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The southern border crisis is fueling drug and human trafficking in the U-S. Minnehaha County Sheriff Mike Milstead says the open border with Mexico has created another profit center for the cartels.
Those cartels are the Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco Cartel. They both operate in more than 40 nations worldwide and control the bulk of the meth and fentanyl drug trade. Milstead says those Cartels also have a direct link to the drug trade in South Dakota…
Sheriff Milstead chairs the Drug Enforcement Committee of the National Sheriff’s Association. He made his comments while appearing on the Greg Belfrage Show.
