FLANDREAU, SD (KELO.com) — The trial date has been set. Attorney General Marty Jackley was back in court Thursday, in the first degree murder case of Joseph Hoek. Hoek is accused of killing Moody County Chief Deputy Ken Prorok while leading police on a high speed chase. The trial will begin with jury selection April 21st of next year, and could last up to five weeks.
The Attorney General says he’s confident he’ll be able to seat a jury in Moody County despite the high-profile nature of the case.
