SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The suspect in a triple homicide in Sioux Falls over the weekend is making his first court appearance Monday morning. 30-year old Justin Rackley faces three counts of first degree murder in the shooting deaths of three people early Saturday morning. Police Lieutenant Aaron Nyberg says it happened at 58th and Drexel Drive shortly before 3:00 am Saturday.
Lieutenant Nyberg identified the deceased as 43 year old Daniel Kemnitz, 43 year old Kelly Reeves and 34 year old Michael Thompson. Nyberg says the incident happened during a bonfire that had at least a dozen people present at various times. Police are still trying to determine the motive. Two other people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
