
PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Pierre man charged with murder has been determined to be incompetent to stand trial.
A judge ruled that 25 year-old David Shangreaux, Jr. was not competent stand trial for the stabbing death of 17 year-old Evie Maxey last November.
Shangreaux was ordered to the Human Services Center in Yankton for a period of time, not to exceed four months.
Shangreaux has also been granted new court-appointed attorneys.
His trial is tentatively set for mid-August.
