SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The Minnehaha County Auditor’s office has its hands full. 165 absentee ballots were successfully challenged because of residency questions. Those ballots came from voters who use mail-forwarding services to establish residency because they travel or live in an R-V. Auditor Leah Anderson says it’s an unusual situation.
Top that off with canvassing duties and several races close enough to allow for recounts, and you have a tall assignment.
Absentee ballots were challenged in a second precinct for the same reason, but precinct workers denied that challenge.
