SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — If you’ve become a victim of a scam, chances are you need help recovering. The Better Business Bureau has launched a new online resource designed to provide that help. South Dakota Vice President for the Burea, Jesse Schmidt says reaching out is an important step in recovering.
Schmidt says the first step is overcoming a sense of shame and reporting problems to the scam tracker can also help others avoid becoming victims.
Feeling shame is a normal reaction, but it’s important to remember that the scammers are pros at what they do.
