Protest march in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police were the subject of a demonstration at their headquarters Friday afternoon.

Demonstrators were protesting police treatment of Daniel Bettelyoun last week.

Bettelyoun’s family posted video of the arrest, which showed police striking and tasing him.

Police Chief Jon Thum says his department is asking the State Division of Criminal Investigation to review the evidence.

The NAACP announced early this week that it’s investigating police treatment of Bettelyoun during the arrest.
