PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Emotional, impassioned stories powered an 8-million dollar package through the South Dakota House for a new building on the LifeScape campus in Sioux Falls. LifeScape provides services to disabled individuals of all ages. Primary Sponsor Representative Marty Overweg shared how Lifescape helped his brother, who has autism.
The bill passed the House on an overwhelming 68-to-1 vote. Now it moves to the state Senate for committee hearings.
