Governor Noem delivers return to conservative fiscal policy in budget address

PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Conservative fiscal policy is the rule of the day.  That’s the underlying theme of Governor Kristi Noem’s proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2025.  The Governor is presenting the budget to legislators in Pierre Tuesday.

Governor Noem is asking lawmakers to make the sales tax reduction approved last January permanent.

At the core of her spending plan, a 4-percent hike for the so-called “Big Three”…schools, state workers and Health Care Providers.
