Sioux Falls schools to limit boys’ activities to avoid Title IX problems of equal opportunities for girls

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — More fallout for the Sioux Falls School District on sports activities.  The district is now limiting boys’ activities to address concerns about Title IX violations.  Parent Angie Allen is part of the group that filed suit to block the board from dropping gymnastics because of budget problems.

Parent Greg Gobel also spoke out on the issue, cautioning the board on who would be hurt most by the decision to scale back boys’ activities.

Gobel volunteered to help be part of the solution, and asked the Board to invite the public to be part of the process.
