MADISON, BROOKINGS, SD (KELO.com) — A doctoral program in Cyber Agriculture is the result of joint research involving two of South Dakota’s state Universities. The research builds on SDSU’s expertise in Precision Agriculture, and Dakota State’s cutting edge cyber research. DSU President Dr. Jose Marie Griffiths.
The days of farming being a simple, back-woods profession are long gone. Today’s farm equipment is loaded with the latest technology to help farmers squeeze every bushel possible out of every square inch of their land. South Dakota State University and Dakota State University are right in the middle of it with their joint Doctoral program in Cyber Agriculture. Dr. Griffiths says they’re just getting started.
The partnership seems to be a perfect pairing.
Dr. Griffiths says the new doctorate program can be used for any application in Computer Science.
