PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — A legislative committee on Long Term Care is wrapping up its work. Staffing issues are part of the problem. State Senator Erin Tobin of Winner says setting up clinical opportunities for students could help.
Another idea is to join compacts with healthcare groups to include psychologists and social workers, an idea supported by Representative Linda Duba.
The legislative committee will present a dozen recommendations to the full legislature in January.
