BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Brookings man now knows his fate for making counterfeit money.
Julian Huffman, age 28, was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
The conviction stemmed from incidents between September 9, 2022, and November 21, 2022, when Huffman made dozens of counterfeit $20 Federal Reserve notes and passed them at various businesses in and near Brookings.
Huffman was sentenced earlier this week.
