CYRUS, MN (KELO.com) — A domestic call in Minnesota has left one police officer dead.
Saturday night, officers from the Starbuck Police Department and the Pope County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residential address in Cyrus on a domestic call.
During the arrest, one Starbuck officer and two Pope County Deputy Sheriffs were struck by gunfire.
Pope County Deputy Josh Owen passed away as a result of a gunshot wound.
The two other officers survived the shooting.
Cyrus is about two and a half hours west of the Twin Cities.
