SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — With the potential for more than six inches of heavy snow, along with high winds, winter storm watches have been issued across the region. The Sioux Falls National Weather Services says watches will begin Tuesday north and east of Sioux Falls. The watch area which includes Sioux Falls will begin early Wednesday. The weather service advises the risk for heavy snow is higher than normal with this storm. Additionally, high winds mixed with the snow could create dangerous to near impossible travel conditions Wednesday into Thursday.
