SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — If shopping isn’t your thing today, you could enjoy the weather at Minnesota State Parks for free. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is waiving entrance fees at all 75 state parks and recreation areas. The free entrance has become a day after Thanksgiving tradition in Minnesota. It’s one of four days annually when Minnesota waives park entrance fees. The state’s DNR says parks will be lightly staffed over the holiday weekend, fees for camping and other park amenities will still apply.
