SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Today is National Cat Day. The Sioux Falls Area Humane Society says the day is to recognize the number of cats that need to be rescued each year and to celebrate the cats in our lives. The Tea Police Department took to social media to celebrate Fe9 Stu. Officer Johnson rescued the kitten from a rainy roadway in May. The kitten spent a few weeks at the humane society being nursed back to good health. When Officer Johnson went back to check on the kitten, Fe9 Stu made sure he knew they were purrfect for each other.
