SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — After setting a record high of $5.01/gallon on June 14, the national gas price average today has dropped below $4.00/gallon for the first time since March 5, 2022.
According to Triple A, South Dakota’s average is right at $4.
In Sioux Falls, every single gas station is selling gas below $4, with some prices as low as $3.69.
The cheapest gas in the state can be found near Madison, where a gallon of gas is being sold for $3.37.
There are now 26 states with gas prices below $4.
