ABERDEEN, S.D. (KELO.com) — It wasn’t in a tree, but a kitten in Aberdeen needed the help of a firefighter Tuesday night. Aberdeen Fire Rescue says they were called to a storm drain where bystanders heard cries from a kitten. Crews arrived and found the kitten had fallen in and couldn’t get out. The storm drain gate was removed and the kitten was rescued. The department said the kitten seemed to be in good health and is now safe in a new home.
