SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Two hospitals and one EMS agency in South Dakota have been recognized by the American Heart Association for improving outcomes for Americans with heart disease and stroke. Sanford USD Medical Center and PatientCare EMS of Sioux Falls, and Monument Health Rapid City Hospital have been commended for their participation in the ‘Get With the Guidelines’ program, consistently following up-to-date, research-based guidelines to ensure access to lifesaving care. Heart disease and stroke are the #1 and #5 causes of death in the United States, respectively.
