VINTON, Iowa (KELO.com) — Iowa U.S. Senator Joni Ernst holds a roundtable on the cost and availability of fertilizer later at 8:30 am Friday.
Ernst, a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, will host local farmers and industry professionals for a roundtable in Vinton to discuss fertilizer cost and the challenges the increased costs pose to farmers.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa—Tomorrow morning, on Friday, June 10 at 8:30 a.m. CT, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, will host local farmers and industry professionals for a roundtable in Vinton to discuss sky-high fertilizer costs—something she’s heard about consistently on her 99 County Tour—and the current challenges these increased costs are posing.
In addition to Senator Ernst, attendees will include:
- Lance Lillibridge – Iowa Corn President and an Iowa farmer who is hosting the meeting at his farm
