
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — There are several Memorial Day activities around the area on Monday.
Sioux Falls: The ceremony at the South Dakota State Veteran Cemetery begins at 10:00 a.m. No cars allowed. Buses will leave the Alliance starting at 8:30. Bring a lawn chair.
Tea: A program will be held at the American Legion at 9:30 a.m., a ceremony at the cemetery will follow. There will also be ground breaking at noon for the Veteran Memorial.
Dell Rapids: Cemetery services begin at 7:50 a.m., starting at Logan Cemetery. 10:00 a.m. parade on Main Street with a ceremony at the city park to follow. Brat feed at the Legion Hall begins at 11:00 a.m.
Madison: An 11:00 a.m. service will take place on the courthouse lawn. In case of bad weather, it will be moved to the VFW post.
Egan: Memorial Day service at 9:00 a.m. at the Egan Methodist Church. Pastor Del Sanderson of the Colman Lutheran Church will give the message. Music will be provided by the Colman-Egan band. Refreshments will follow.
Colman: Service begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Colman Cemetery. Pastor Del Sanderson will give the message, and the Colman-Egan band will perform. The service will be moved to the Colman-Egan school gymnasium in the event of inclement weather.
