Bill Zortman receives SBA Award for his work on KELO's "It's Your Business"
The host of KELO Radio’s “It’s Your Business” is being recognized for excellence in promoting SD business. Bill Zortman is one of those honored with SBA’s “Small Business Champion of the Year”.
The award is given to one individual or organization each year that has “gone above and beyond in supporting the small business economy” in South Dakota.
Zortman says receiving the award isn’t something that he’ll soon forget.
“We did our part (during Covid-19) to show South Dakota was “open for business”. It’s a chapter I’ll remember that ended with a ‘Champion’ designation”, he says.
The award was presented by the U.S. Small Business Administration South Dakota District.
“Mr. Zortman has been instrumental in assisting SBA SD in amplifying awareness and implementation of COVID-19 economic disaster recovery programs and resources to thousands of small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and agriculture producers experiencing pandemic distress,” says the SD SBA.
“It’s Your Business” airs weekday mornings from 9a-11a on KELO Radio.
