SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police are investigating a crash that occurred Saturday afternoon. Emergency personnel responded to Starbucks Coffee Shop at 418 S Minnesota Avenue. They found a Jeep Grand Cherokee completely embedded in the business. Several employees and customers were inside at the time. It is believed a medical event likely contributed to the crash. The driver, a 65-year-old male Sioux Falls resident, was treated at an area hospital along with his 71-year-old female passenger. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Three adult patrons inside the business were transported to hospitals as well with non-life-threatening injuries. Four others self transported to area hospitals. Three were patrons, and one an employee of Starbucks. Three of the patients are adults and one is a juvenile. All are also believed to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
