SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A standoff with a man threatening law enforcement officers Tuesday trying to serve a warrant on him ends peacefully in Sioux Falls.
The Minnehaha County Fugitive and Warrant Task Force attempted to serve a warrant on Alfred Francis Eagle Deer, Jr., yesterday morning.
He refused and stuck an 8-inch butcher knife through the door.
The task force called in the Sioux Falls Police SWAT team.
The team negotiated for several hours with Eagle Deer but eventually had to go in and get him.
No one was hurt.
Eagle Deer was wanted on aggravated assault and other charges.
