CROFTON, Neb. (KELO.com) –Two people from Sioux City, Iowa die in a two-car accident around noon Tuesday at the intersection of Highways 81 and 12 in northeastern Nebraska.
Dear are William Koontz, 74, and Anita Koontz, 71. William died at the scene and Anita was pronounced dead at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, S.D.
The Cedar County Sheriff’s Office says the Koontzs car ran into a pickup driven by Neil Collins, 90, of Orleans, Neb. Collins was also taken to Avera Sacred Hearth but had minor injuries.
Authorities say the Koontzs were not wearing seatbelts but Collins was.
