SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police are looking for two people they say tried to rob an apartment Sunday night.
It happened near 12th street and Willow Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. Police spokesperson Sam Clemens says one of the suspects had a gun and the other had a knife.
Clemens said the suspects appeared to be looking for cash but weren’t able to find anything and left. He added one of the suspects “ended up punching the victim a couple of times.” No one was seriously hurt.
Clemens said the people in the apartment knew one of the suspects, but not the other. Police aren’t sure why the robbery took place, Clemens said. It did not appear to be drug-related.
Clemens said police had “information to follow up on” but have not made any arrests.
