MANDERSON, S.D. (KELO.com) — The remains of a missing South Dakota teen were discovered Friday. The Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety says Shayna Youngman’s body was found north of Manderson, South Dakota, on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservaton. The 17 year-old was last seen on February 3rd. The death is being investigated as a homicide. At this time, one person of interest has been taken into custody.
The department continues to investigate and says there is no threat to the community.
