WOMAN ESCAPES FROM ATTACK
Police are searching for a woman who struck another woman several times with a handgun Wednesday morning in Sioux Falls.
The victim was a passenger in a vehicle and was waiting for the driver.
The victim was able to climb the driver’s seat and drive off as the suspect ran away.
She later received medical treatment for her injuries.
UNLOCKED CAR? YES. STOLEN GUN? YES.
Another unlocked car, another stolen firearm.
Sioux Falls Police report that a thief took a shotgun from an unlocked vehicle Wednesday.
Police say the owner thought their car was locked.
ALERT BANK CLERK HELPS NAB FORGER
A Sioux Falls bank clerk helped police catch a check forger Wednesday.
Sioux Falls Police accuse Christopher William Condit, 33, from Sioux Falls, of stealing a check from a mailbox then trying to alter it.
They say he tried to pass the stolen and now forged check at a bank.
The clerk recognized it was a forgery and tried to keep Condit at the bank.
He did finally leave but police arrested him on traffic charges.
Condit faces theft and forgery charges.
