SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Here are some of the highlights from Friday’s Sioux Falls Police briefing.
SURVEILLANCE VIDEO LEADS TO ARREST IN ROLL’N SMOKE THEFT
A parole absconder from Texas is in jail on robbery and other charges in the break-in and theft of $4,000 worth of cigarettes from Roll-N-Smoke in Sioux Falls earlier this week.
Surveillance video at the shop led Sioux Falls Police to the suspect’s car and then his residence.
Wednesday, police executed a search warrant in the 800 block of West 33rd Street.
They found evidence of the stolen goods and cocaine.
Tony Joseph Lockwood, 54, from DeSoto, Texas, is accused of grand theft, drugs, and other charges.
CLERK HELD DOWN, RAMADA ROBBED
Sioux Falls Police are looking for two Black men who they suspect in an early Friday morning robbery at the Ramada on West Russell.
Police say one of the men held the clerk down while the other man took cash from the front desk.
The suspects did not show any weapons.
The clerk was unharmed.
ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL FUNNY MONEY
The successful passing of fake bills continues.
The Sioux Falls Police say the latest was a $100 bill.
It had “for motion picture use only” printed on it.
