SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Grinch had a few of his colleagues kept the Sioux Falls Police busy before and during the Christmas holiday weekend.
STOLEN GUNS: THE “GIFT” THAT KEEPS ON GIVING THE WHOLE YEAR
The Christmas holiday and weekend didn’t stop gun thieves in Sioux Falls.
Sioux Falls Police say there were four reports of stolen guns in various parts of the city.
They say some were from locked cars, others were from unlocked vehicles.
AND ANOTHER “GIFT” THAT KEEPS ON GIVING–SHOTS FIRED
The year is ending much as it began and continued–Sioux Falls Police are investigating another shots fired incident.
The latest event happened before midnight Christmas Eve in the 13th and Kiwanis area.
There were no injuries.
Police found shell casings.
They are investigating.
ASSAULTS: NOT WHAT YOU WANTED IN YOUR CHRISTMAS STOCKING
Even before the Christmas holiday began, Sioux Falls Police caught and arrested two Sioux Falls men for assault.
In the first incident on Dec. 22nd, police arrested Amos Holt, 26, for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
That was in the Duluth Avenue area.
In the other assault, early that same morning, a bystander subdued a suspect with a taser at a convenience store.
Nathan Wittrock, 38, is charged with shoplifting and aggravated assault.
NO HOLIDAY CHEER WHEN PASSING A FAKE $50
A Sioux Falls man who police say tried to pass a face $50 bill is under arrest.
Sioux Falls Police say over the Christmas weekend, they arrested Leni Max (a he), 43.
They say he tried to pass a “for motion picture use only” 50 at a convenience store at 41st and Cathy.
