SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Residents are safe after a fire at a mobile home in western Sioux Falls early Friday morning.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue said they responded to the blaze on North Eagle Place at about 4:20 a.m. and were slowed a bit by snowy roads on their way to the home. They confirmed when they arrived that everyone in the house had made it out safely. It took about an hour and a half to extinguish the fire.
No one inside the house was hurt, but one of the firefighters “suffered a minor injury on scene,” according to the release. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota: At 0420 am November 12, 2021 Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a mobile home fire at 710 N Eagle Pl.
First arriving units were slowed briefly by snow covered roads and windy conditions. Smoke and flames were reported coming from part of the structure as fire crews arrived. Sioux Falls Police Department assisted right away in confirming all residents were out of the home and accounted for. The fire was extinguished from the exterior and interior of the home. It took an hour and 30 minutes to fully extinguish the fire.
There were no civilian injuries but one firefighter sustained a minor injury on scene. Red Cross assisted the displaced family. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 21 personnel, 5 fire trucks, and 1 support vehicles. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue would like to thank Metro Communications, Sioux Falls Police Department, Paramedics Plus, Excel Energy, and MidAmerican Energy for their assistance.
