SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Nearly one-fifth of U.S. metro areas lost construction jobs between September 2020 and September 2021.
That’s according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of government employment data released Wednesday.
However, Sioux Falls is bucking that trend.
From September to September, Sioux Falls saw a 14% increase in construction jobs.
That ranked it 6th in the nation.
Fourteen hundred jobs were created in the past year.
