SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police describe an active weekend on the streets of Sioux Falls Monday at their daily police briefing.
MAN STABBED IN THE HEAD
A Sioux Falls man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in the head Saturday afternoon during an altercation.
Royden Ray Ross, 22, from Sioux Falls, is charged with aggravated assault, a parole violation, and other felony charges in the attack.
Sioux Falls Police say the victim, who is 38, took the suspect and two women to a home in the 800 block of North Harrington Avenue.
After the suspect stabbed the victim, the suspect took the victim’s keys from him and drove off in his car.
Police arrested Ross without incident Sunday night.
PEDESTRIAN SEVERELY HURT AFTER BEING HIT BY A CAR
A Harrisburg man has life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car near 10th Street and Summit Avenue early yesterday (Sunday) morning.
Sioux Falls Police say the driver says he didn’t see the 69-year-old man.
Police say the victim is hospitalized with a broken leg and a fractured skull.
Jeffrey Alan Grossman, 29, from Sioux Falls, is charged with a number of crimes, including DWI 3rd, vehicular battery, resisting arrest, and other charges.
LYFT DRIVER THREATENED
After picking up a man Saturday night near 41st Street and Gateway, the passenger told a Lyft driver to pull over on the side of I-29 in Sioux Falls.
The driver said the man said he was going to kill him.
The two men ended up outside the car with the flashers on.
Another motorist drove up to assist.
The victim ran to that car for safety.
The suspect took off with the Lyft driver’s car.
After a chase, police eventually arrested Harold Daniel Anderson, 45, from Sioux Falls, on a number of felonies, including DUI 4th and assault.
