SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) – The Sioux Falls City Council approved a zoning change that will allow the construction of a Center for Active Generations on the east side of Sioux Falls.
Gerald Beninga, President and CEO, of the Center for Active Generations shared the growth in demand for the services offered by the Center. Beninga told the City Council that when the Center opened 30 years ago, they served 750 people per year. In 2019, the number had grown to more than 15,000.
Beninga said the east side location will duplicate the services of the existing location. The Center for Active Generations provides support for Meals on Wheels, caregiver support, adult daycare, tax planning and advice, enrichment activities, and other services.
