SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Every October, detectives and representatives from the Minnehaha County Family Violence Council place magnetic purple ribbons on police cars to raise awareness about domestic violence. That’s according to Sioux Falls Police Officer Sam Clemens.
The magnets will be placed on the patrol cars Friday at 12:45 p.m. in the parking lot on the west side of the law enforcement center.
