SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — As October nears, it’s time for leaf peepers to start thinking about where to best view the changing colors of the trees.
South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks reminds you can track the fall colors of the South Dakota State Parks on their website. Go to gfp.sd.gov and click on the Fall Foliage Tracker to see where in the state leaves are nearing peak color change.
Current reports have the leaves from no change to patchy or partial change across the eastern part of South Dakota.
