SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — South Dakota’s poverty rate has fluctuated considerably over the past 20 years.
That’s according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
In 2000, the poverty rate was 11.5%.
By 2010, it had risen to 14.6%.
However, by 2019, it had fallen to 11.9%.
