SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls Stampede have announced their start times for home games during the upcoming 2021-22 regular season.
New this season, Saturday home games will now begin at 6:05 PM and Sunday games will begin at 4:05 PM. Weekday games will continue to start at 7:05 PM. Doors to the Denny Sanford PREMEIR Center will open one hour prior to puck drop. Click here to view the entire season schedule with game times.
“With input from our fans we decided to move up our weekend start times,” stated Stampede President Jim Olander. “Teams across all sports are moving games earlier on Saturday nights to better accommodate their fans. We hope this will work well for everyone, especially those with families and younger children. Saturdays are typically our bigger themed nights so we hope this will make it easier for our fan base to attend and stay for the entire game. Starting at 4:05 PM on Sunday will also allow us to bring back our popular post-game skating parties so that families can participate and still be home early enough to get ready for the week ahead.”
The Stampede open the regular season on Saturday, October 9th at 6:05 PM when they host the Lincoln Stars at the PREMIER Center. The Herd have 1 Tuesday home game, 10 on Fridays, 16 on Saturdays and 3 on Sundays.
The Herd open preseason play this afternoon in Sioux City against the Omaha Lancers as part of the USHL West Preseason Shootout. The Stampede will face the Lincoln Stars tomorrow (Saturday) at 1 PM. Sioux Falls will host Fargo in their lone home preseason game next Saturday, September 18th at 7:05 PM inside the Scheels IcePlex. Tickets are free for season ticket holders and $10 for all others. All seating is general admission and tickets will be available at the door.
More information regarding opening night, single game tickets and promotional dates will be announced over the next few weeks. For ticket information, contact the Stampede office at 605-275-4625.
