SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls is one of the top ten metro areas in the country when it comes to construction job creation during the coronavirus pandemic.
According to a study by the Associated General Contractors, Sioux Falls gained 2,900 jobs during the pandemic for a 35% growth rate.
That ranked Sioux Falls tied for the 7th-best increase in the country.
Fargo ranked first with a 49% increase in construction jobs over the past 17 months.
Rapid City saw a 20% growth in construction and related jobs during the same period.
