LENNOX, S.D. (KELO.com) — The City of Lennox is asking people to stay off the streets if they are not actively helping in the cleanup effort.
Lincoln County emergency manager Harold Timmerman told KELO.com news that there was major tree damage in Lennox, but no one was injured. He said the roof on the high school was damaged and some residents were temporarily trapped in an elevator in an assisted living facility.
Xcel Energy trucks are in town and working on lines. They hope to have power restored by the end of the day (Sunday).
The city is also asking kids to stay away from Westerman Park until further notice.
