SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Tomorrow marks the first day of school for Sioux Falls area public schools.
Kids of all ages will be walking, bussing, and driving to school for the first time since May.
With that, the Sioux Falls Police Department would like to remind the public to slow down through school zones, and to stop for busses who are loading or unloading students.
If you get caught speeding in a school zone, the fines are quite hefty.
1-5 MPH over the speed limit could land you a $112.50 fine.
Extra patrols will be out for the first few weeks of the school year.
