SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — There was a little bit of everything in Tuesday’s Sioux Falls Police briefing.
SCAMMERS CHANGING FROM GIFT CARDS TO BITCOIN?
A Sioux Falls woman is scammed out of $1200 in Bitcoin over the weekend.
Sioux Falls Police say the scammers called and said they were with Excel Energy and that she had a delinquent power bill.
They then said she needed a new power box.
Officer Sam Clemens says scammers appear to be moving from gift cards to Bitcoin.
METH AND A HANDGUN, A BAD COMBINATION
A Sioux Falls man is in jail for having an unlucky combination on him–meth and a gun.
A Sioux Falls Police officer observed a man who they believed was drunk Monday.
When approached, the man took off.
While running away, a handgun fell out of his pants.
When the cop caught the culprit, the authorities found a small amount of meth in his pockets.
The man also had a breathalyzer test of 0.09 percent.
Daniel Saxton Keoke, 31, faces a variety of drug, alcohol, and gun charges.
OPEN GARAGE, MISSING STUFF
Another open garage, more items were taken.
This time it was tools.
Sioux Falls Police said the latest open garage door theft happened Monday.
