SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police had an eventful weekend.
Here are the highlights from Monday’s police briefing.
MAN BASHED IN THE HEAD WITH A ROCK
A Sioux Falls man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being based in the head with a rock over the weekend.
Sioux Falls Police say the victim and the suspect were talking in the 10th and Cleveland area.
Then for some reason, the suspect hit the victim in the head with a rock.
Witnesses assisted the 37-year-old man who went to the hospital where he had surgery.
Police soon arrested Gary Darius Primaux, 22, from Sioux Falls.
He’s charged with aggravated and simple assault.
DRUNK DRIVER HITS TWO HOUSES
An early Monday morning drunk driver doesn’t just hit one house, but two.
Sioux Falls Police arrested Casey Lane Fette, 24, from Pierre, on vehicular battery, DUI, reckless driving, and other charges after his F150 pickup missed the curve at Southeastern and Jessica.
After hitting one house, Fette’s pickup slammed into the bedroom of a second house, injuring the owner with a concussion.
Both the victim and Fette went to the hospital.
ONE UNLOCKED GARAGE, TWO STOLEN VEHICLES
A homeowner who didn’t shut the door of their garage, didn’t lock it, and kept the keys in their cars wound up with two stolen vehicles over the weekend.
Sioux Falls Police said the incident occurred in the 1500 block of North Tahoe Trail.
Police said they found one of the vehicles, a 2015 BMW X5, in a marsh.
They found the other car in a parking lot.
The police have not made an arrest yet.
LIQUOR STORY ROBBERY
Sioux Falls Police are looking to two suspected in a liquor store robbery Friday night.
Police say two men entered the shop.
One man put a bottle of booze in his pants and grabbed another bottle.
The clerk stopped them.
The man who grabbed the booze pulled up his shirt and showed a knife in a sheath.
The clerk was not hurt.
KEEP BOTH HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL!
Sioux Falls Police are looking for a man who was touching himself while driving then swerved into traffic to try to get a woman’s attention this weekend.
The exhibitionist pulled up to the woman’s car.
She was not hurt.
