SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It’s been a busy few days for the Sioux Falls Police.
The highlights from Wednesday’s briefing are below.
NAME OF MURDER VICTIM RELEASED
Sioux Falls Police release the name of the victim shot and killed early Tuesday morning.
He is Dillian Montileaux Trevino, 19, from Sioux Falls.
Lt. Terrance Matia says Trevino was shot multiple times.
The suspect, Asher Wayne Parks, 18, from Sioux Falls, is in jail on murder and other charges on a million-dollar bond.
The authorities awaiting a toxicology screen and other autopsy results on the victim.
MEN IN VEHICLES STALK YOUNG GIRLS?
Sioux Falls Police are investigating two separate reports of suspicious vehicles following young girls.
In one, police say a man, possibly Hispanic, was in a white van observing five 10 to 12-year-old girls in the 2900 block of Lucerne Avenue.
In the other incident, a 14-year-old girl said a Black man in a gold car followed her in the 2nd Street and Kiwanis Avenue area.
The girl said when she sped up, the car would speed up.
No one was injured.
APPARENTLY THE MAN WASN’T THAT SICK
Sioux Falls Police arrested a man who was a patient in a hospital on sex charges.
Police say the man exposed himself several times to hospital staff.
He then attempted to sexually assault a nurse.
The nurse wasn’t touched.
The suspect is charged with indecent exposure and attempted sexual contact.
