SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — An 18-year-old-man is in jail, arrested for the shooting death of a 19-year-old man early Tuesday morning.
Sioux Falls Police say an argument at an apartment in the 8th Street and French Avenue area led to the fatal shooting.
Police arrested the suspect about two hours after the incident in the 700 block of East 14th Street.
Authorities believe they also found the handgun involved in the shooting.
The victim’s name has not been released yet.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota: On Tuesday, August 17, Around 12:30 a.m., two men had an argument inside an apartment near 8th Street and french Avenue. An 18-year-old man used a handgun and shot a 19-year-old man several times. The suspect left the apartment after the shooting. The victim was taken to the hospital and was pronounced deceased.
Around 2:30 a.m., officers found the suspect walking the 700 block of East 14th Street and was taken into custody. A handgun believed to be used in the homicide was found nearby.
As more information develops, the Sioux Falls Police Department will work with the Minnehaha County State’s Attorney to determine appropriate charges.
The name of the victim is being withheld to allow notification of family members.
