Field of Dreams in Dyrsville, Iowa
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sometimes dreams really do come true.
Three decades after a baseball game was held in an Iowa corn field, the Field of Dreams has become a reality.
Tomorrow night, the Chicago White Sox will play the New York Yankees at the 8,000 seat stadium in Dyersville, Iowa.
The new field lies just feet from the field “Shoeless” Joe Jackson played on in the movie, and will be the first ever Major League game played in Iowa.
A corn maze designed after the MLB logo will be adjacent to both fields.
The game was supposed to take place last year, but was postponed due to the virus.
The first pitch is set to be thrown at 6 pm.
