SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A new plane has been added to the arsenal of the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
The Department of Transportation announced the purchase of a 2015 Beechcraft King Air 350 twin turbo propeller jet at the price of $4.5 million.
The upscale aircraft will feature spacious seating for up to 9 passengers, along with on board Wi-Fi.
Earlier this year, Governor Kristi Noem requested $5 million for the purchase of a new state aircraft to upgrade the aging fleet.
