Weatherology meteorologist Michael Karow says we’re on the eastern periphery of a big high-pressure system that’s still stuck over the western US.
Karow says a high dew point will make the high temperatures feel even stickier the next few days– but it could be even hotter.
He says central South Dakota usually has ten 100+ degree days each summer– a mark the area has already been reached, and there is August yet to go.
