SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A single car accident on I-229 in Sioux Falls this evening has resulted in 3 fatalities.
At approximately 5:30 pm, a car reportedly rolled and was engulfed in flames when authorities arrived.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol confirms that 3 people died in the accident which shut down a stretch of the interstate between 26th Street and Cliff Avenue.
A single lane of northbound traffic on I-229 has reopened.
The crash is still under investigation.
